Prom look #1 + Hauls + Random

Hey ladies! Hope everyone is doing well ... I've been busy with work and finals! I have 3 left so I will be studying my butt off tonight until next Wednesday! I can't wait for summer vacation ... I will be traveling a lot ... Japan with the cousin this July and Europe in August with the bf! I'm beyond ecstatic and can't wait to take a million pictures when I'm there :)

Anyway ... I feel bad for not updating this blog so I decided to do a prom look for you ladies ... it's just a simply smokey blue look using just two colors from Urban Decay and pale pink lips. I really like it ... I will definitely be rocking this look the next time I go out:
I really like the color of my lips!!! A combination of pink fish & 3N lipstick!

Here are the two e/s I used to create this look:
Urban Decay "goddess" e/s (all over crease)
Urban Decay "midnight cowboy" e/s (all over lid)
*I sprayed my brush with a mixing medium to really bring the color and glitter out!!

Been wanting some hot rollers for a while now and finally caved in since I was tired of curling my super thick hair with a regular curler. Tested it out last night and it works pretty well. Con? It gets really REALLY hot so be careful not to burn your fingers & the clips don't stay on very well ... make sure you get some better clippers to keep it tight and secure. I guess it's worth keeping ... and I love how it's PINK ;)

These were the only two that really caught my eyes ... I absolutely adore "a rose romance"! I like how it is very sheer and wearable so I will definitely be grabbing for this one more often. "way to love" is pretty too but it's nothing special ... very similar to the "angel" lipstick.

I have been DYING to get my hands on the "lavender whip" lipstick. I hate myself for not purchasing it when it first came out ... I seriously have been looking around for it for the last month or two but have not succeeded since it was a LE item! This is why I freaking LOVE ebay! Bought it 2 days ago and should be on my way soon ... can't wait to have it in my hands ;)

My new favorite drugstore foundation! This stuff is very sheer and smells so good!!! I need to stock up on this before they decided to discontinue it! I love how light and bendable this foundation is compared to other foundations out there ... perfect for summer.


Physicians Formula Bronze booster. So glad I purchased this .. it's perfect for the summer glow!

Been using this as my new mixing medium. I got this from Rite Aid and it smells like roses and I like how it does leave my skin feeling softer. I think this was under $2 so you definitely can't go wrong with this! ;) I still use my MAC fix+ spray but this is a great alternative for you ladies who don't want to spend so much money!

Been looking for the perfect pink nail polish for my toes and I finally found it! It's NYC new york color in "uptown". I ADORE this color! Will be my staple nail polish for this summer!

Why can't people just be themselves ... sheesh. I don't even know why someone would want to use my picture ... I look like every other Asian girl lol. Oh well. HAHAHA .. and talking smack on people's pages telling them to be real cause she hates FAKERZ. I know that person is reading my blog as well ... so all I can do it just start adding water marks on all my photos from now on. * cough *sniffle sniffle ....

So I'm offically 24 now.
Yesterday was my birthday :)
Too bad I'm broke or else I would spoil myself by going on a shopping spree haha.
The bf surprised me at work yesterday with flowers ... awwww, I love him! Keep in mind, he works all the way in long beach and I'm in San Diego so that was a two hour drive for the poor guy!! He took me out to dinner and then drove back home to Irvine. I feel so special ;)
Anyway ... I'm freaking sick as a dog! I have a cold ... hope it's not swine flu haha! For my pre-birthday bash this past weekend, the bf took me to Vegas. I had an okay time but I will talk about it in my next post with some pictures to go with it.
Anyway ... I have finals next week so I just wanted to wish everyone good luck. Once I'm done with that, I will start blogging more often. I know my page is very boring right now so I do apoligize :( I just don't really have a lot of things to talk about lol ... it's mainly just work and school. Anyway ... I better get going. My nose is leaking like crazy and I feel like crap. I hate being sick ... & to top it off, I look like a hotmess!!! Especially with these lame bangs haha. I need to find a way to make my hair grow faster ... any tips or suggestions? ;)

you can blame calculus!!!

YESSSSSS ... you can blame it on calculus & school in general. 

I have close to 3 weeks left before I take my finals & the ONLY class that's giving me the hardest time is calculus (oh & Chinese too)!!!!! I'm seriously math retarded! I've spent the last 3 weekends doing calculus homework online and have yet to finish!!! This is why I need to go on a vacation! I'm so over school :( This is also mainly why I haven't been able to update my blog as frequently as I would like to OR write back to people ... so a BIG sorry!!! I know I'm lacking!!! So if you wrote me a comment and I have yet to answer back, it's not because I don't care but because I'm honestly trying my hardest to keep my head above the water as the semester is coming to an end. So if you left me a comment, THANK YOU!!! I really do appreciate all the people who actually take the time to read my post and leave me such sweet comments! I will try my best to update more and get back to you lovely ladies. 

So it's almost midnight & I really need to get back to calculus ... I hate you calculus! I hope I never see you again!!!!! I will update this blog probably sometime this weekend since I have a mini haul to show you ladies ... until then ... good night and be thankful that you're not in calculus class! :(

RANDOM Ramblings

It's been a while since I've updated my sad little blog haha ... 

Been working a lot and school is busy as usual. 

This isn't beauty related so you can skip this posting if you like. 

I did a little shopping, mostly clothes, so I'll try to take pictures of them once I have a chance. Just wanted everyone to know that it's official now ... the boyfriend finally bought our tickets to Paris 2 nights ago! :) I'm so excited .... even though Greece is the main destination, I'm absolutely thrilled about making a pit stop to both Paris and Milan. I doubt I'll be able to buy a lot of stuff once I'm there since Europe is so damn expensive :( I tried really hard to save money these past few months, but I'm really disappointed at myself for not saving more. I suck at saving ... I need to stop buying so much clothes and makeup haha. & speaking of clothes .... I've been obsessive with buying maxi dresses .... I probably bought like 6 already yet I'm still yearning for more. What is wrong with me?!??!!! I figured their perfect for yucky hot summers in southern California. I need one for everyday so this is why I still need to buy more lol. OH YEAH ... I might be going to Japan this June with my dear cousin. This summer is going to be a CRAZY, yet adventurous one. I feel so blessed and lucky that I finally get the chance to travel. Keep in mind that I've never been out of the country before so I have no idea how the whole experience will be for me. I just hope I don't throw up on the plane because I get motion sickness very easily. So yeah ... that's pretty much it. I will start to blog more once I'm done with school  ... I have about a month left so wish me luck! ;) 

Oh yeah one more thing ... I wish I never cut my bangs!!! I hate them now ... they require so much work to get them to look "normal" ... as in straight down and not all over the place. My hair is retarded ... it likes to stand up rather than lie straight down. I have no one to blame but myself for cutting my bangs due to boredom. Since having bangs, I've had 3 boys (all under 19 years old) ask me out on a date because they thought I was fresh out of high school. I mean, I know I look young, but 18?!?!?!? Come on now!!!! I guess I should just take it as a compliment, but I told them I was turning in 24 soon and they thought I was being a bitch for making up lame excuses .... LMAO. I miiiiiisssssssss my long layers .... :( I can't do jack squad with these dumb bangs ... I can't even pin them back completely without them poking out. Sad part is .... my hair grows super slooooooooow. So I might have to wait till 2010 before my hair gets back to the original length. *SOB*

FOTD: Blue Cool & Mini Target Haul

Yay, thank goodness it's FRIDAY! :)

I will be leaving for Arizona this Saturday with the bf and his parents.
Don't really know why we're going, but nonetheless, I'm still excited.

Anyway, for the FOTD I finally decided to use the Stila's eye shadow quad in "cool" that I got ages ago from TJ Maxx. I think it's a limited edition item, and it's only $6. I always get super duper excited when I find steals like this! Gotta love bargain shopping!!

So with the quad, I decided to primary use the pretty pewter blue color on the crease and smoked it out with a black eye shadow. I used the light pink color as the lid color, and the white as a highlighter.

I love how my skin have been looking! I can thank my new Dior foundation for that!!! :]

Now I'm even MORE broke :( It's hard to have self-control when my eyes are constantly being drawn to anything that's shiny, pretty, and make-up related. *siiiiiiigh!

I got 3 more of these lip stains ... one for my purse, one in my school bag, and one for backup just in case i lose the others.


Sonia Kashuk Blending Sponge"blending sponge - the perfect sponge to access hard to reach areas - apply, blend, smudge and pat your way to perfection" ... I HAD to try this! I've heard a lot of good stuff about this sponge and it was only $10. I tried it this morning and I must say it works FANTASTIC! I'm never touching a foundation brush again!!!! Plus, this was the ONLY one left in the store, it was like faith!! Haha.

Sonia Kashuk makeup bag - I looooove the color & design. Puuuuuurfect for Spring! I will be using this makeup bag for when I need to travel light. I like how it has to two compartments. More room for me to organize my makeup!

I also got this DS game for my new pretty DSi. I played this game last night before going to bed and DAMN IT - made me realized that I have no sense of rhythm whatsoever :(

So I totally forgot to show you ladies something from my post yesterday. It's this:

Aqualina pink sugar hair perfume - I looooooooove this stuff! Smells a lot like sweet cotton candy mixed with vanilla. I use this quite often since I wash my hair every other day so this keeps it smelling really yummy and delicious plus it's only $15 and you can get it at Sephora, Ulta, and amazon.com. & Don't worry ladies, this will not leave your hair feeling oily or greasy. It's like magic hair potion in a bottle!! I love this stuff and will definitely stock up on this with my next pay check!

Backkkkkk with bangs & haul

I'm backkkkkkkk! It's been a while since my last update! I always feel like I have nothing interesting to say or share with you ladies so that's why I haven't been really posting a lot lately, plus school & work is slowing stressing me out!

So yeah, I've been sporting the same hair-do (long layers with long side swept bangs) for 2-3 years now & I woke up one day with the urge to do something different, something I promised myself I would never do - get bangs!! & the worst part is I did it myself! You can blame it on boredom. It first started with a snip here and a snip there ... and as days went by, it kept getting shorter and shorter ... sometimes I swear I must have OCD!!! I just couldn't stop cutting my stupid bangs! Noooooow, I have full on bangs. It took a while for me to get use to it especially since it made me look so different. One of my guy friend said "damn girl, you look so oriental now!" ... don't know what he's trying to imply but it's about time I embrace my inner "Asian-ness" lol. All in all, I'm definitely digging the new hair-do. What do you ladies think?

So I totally fell into temptation and went on a mini shopping spree. But I have a good legitimate excuse for making the trip to the mall!!!! My stupid MAC foundation was causing me to break out like crazy so I need to find a replacement, & what better place to go to than Sephora? I swear, I can NEVER leave the damn store without buying something!!!! So here's a few things I picked up there:

(Sorry for the crappy picture) Diorskin nude natural glow hydrating Foundation w/ SPF 10. OMG ... this stuff is amazing!!! It's so light, feels like you're not wearing anything, yet you get the light to medium coverage to cover and hide all your imperfections! This is my new found love! It's actually blended with 100% natural minerals pigments so it's a lot better for you opposed to other foundations out there! Maybe it's a coincident, but it seems like since I've been using this product, my acne really have started to subside! Yay! LOVE this stuff!

Jonathan Redo spray. I mainly bought this product for my bangs ... this stuff works and smells amazing! I use this when my bangs are misbehaving ... I just spray, comb through and wa-lahhh! My bangs are pretty, polished, and in place! Works great for waking the skin up too! ;)

Benefit's creaseless cream shadow/liner in strut! I've always been a fan of these bad boys and have accumulated quite a few in the past year but was always interested in wanting a darker shade and "strut" was perfect - it's a dark grayish-blue color that is so perfect for that quick smoky & sexy I-just-woke-up look!!! LOVE it! I'm a fan of anything that's quick, easy, and sexy!

Benefit's the gloss in "Corsage". Perfect pink/coral color for Spring!

Benefit's Bad Gal Mascara - This was a free gift! This mascara is pretty impressive ... I've never seen such a big wand in my life!!!! The thing is gigantic but works fantastic! I'm sold! ;]

T3 Pro dyer. Been wanting to try this sooooooo bad, but could never justify spending thaaaaaat much money on a blow dryer, but after reading all the wonderful reviews on it I decided to give it a try. This blow dryer is supposed to cut your drying time by 1/2 and it's lightweight, quiet, and helps prevent frizz! Exactly what I need!!!! I have yet to try it out, but I will do a review on it ASAP!

Shu Uemura eye lash curler - BEST eyelash curler everrrrr! A little pricey but so worth it for those perfect curled lashes!!!

Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 30. I love love love this stuff! I was never a fan of putting on sun screen on my face because it tends to be really greasy and messy (I'm also lazy) ... but this stuff is freaking ingenuous!!! It's transparent AND instantly protects your skin from the harmful sun rays!!! I will be traveling a lot this summer so this a MUST for me!

Forgot what brand this brush is (sorry) but it's supposed to help fight frizz and give you silky smooth hair. It's also made with real crush crystals! I think this was a little over $10, so I thought what the heck since my new pretty pink blow dryer needs a companion!

Covergirl Outlast Lipstain - If I could, I would buy ALL the colors there are, but my damn target was all sold out but this color! This stuff is amazingly long lasting and so easy to use! I love it! Will be on a hunt for more! ;D

So is that it? NOOOOOOOO ... (talk about lack of self-control! :/) I also bought clothes from a few places. I've recently been OBSESSED with long flowy maxi dresses. I think I have about 5 now .... I will definitely put these to good use when I go to Greece!!!! Can't Wait. I also bought a couple of summer tops and a few necklaces and new wallet. & oh ... I also found a really cute leather jacket at H&M! A little on the expensive side but it's so damn cute!!! Don't know why I didn't take pictures of all the clothes I bought .... I guess I forgot. All I know now is that I'm BROOOOOOKE! :( I've reached my spending limit for this month, and the sad part is that it's just the beginning of April! Boooooo!!!
